Where are the past and the future, when all that really exists is now? And in spite of the cult of youth, idealized bodies and virtuoso fitness, our bodies and minds are changing. Here comes the great beauty of old age, which commits the past to memory and ties the future to the anticipation of another moment of bliss. This piece by the Lublin Dance Theatre straddles the line between nostalgia and hope.
“Humankind.
Cannot bear very much reality.
Time past and time future
What might have been and what has been?
Point to one end, which is always present.”
T. S. ELIOT
