Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost

Description

The subject of the performance is memory, storing information, and making an effort to save resources. Source of inspiration: the classic solo Dying Swan and computer games. Method of work: deconstruction of classical dance forms, using contemporary somatic practices. Dying Swan, Pavlova's signature number, danced all over the world is an icon of dance. If you type this phrase into a search engine, you will not find photos of swans, only ballerinas. Thus, the tragedy of the animal was annexed by man. The performance is a contemporary commentary on the solo, and a physical contemplation of the interdependence of man and nature. On stage: 3 dancers, a skeleton model and a mocup of a bird - a European roller. A record of memory - memory stored in the nervous system, in bones and in soft tissues. The memory of dance, which, although it is the most ephemeral of arts, leaves permanent traces in the bodies of the dancers. The title is a video game message, warning of possible loss of progress. After all, it's just a trick...
