(M)OTHERS

Description

The performance centers around an expanded concept of motherhood—one that encompasses not only biological ties but also social and territorial relationships. The motif of the MOTHER takes on an abstract form, reaching beyond genetic connections. It is an attempt to explore this universal role of the "MOTHER" that each of us carries within, regardless of gender, age, sexual identity, skin color, level of ability, or education. "(M)OTHERS" explores the nature of familial bonds—their strength and capacity for change. Choreography here becomes silence, the city, a game, a community, the senses, a chameleon, a dragon, queer, stranger, other. While gender may influence certain human behaviors, the search for the essence of humanity often transcends binary categories. The concept of the performance opens space for reflection on empathy, social expectations, and love in spite of difference. "(M)OTHERS" is a collage of images, memories, choreography, words, musical postcards, and dreams.
