Late Lovers of Moon Snow
Description
The world has lost itself in the mystery of things. An indifferent mirror endlessly gazed at personal values. Gigantic days sank into oblivion. Empty stares shouting variations of sadness. I was a few years too late. I noticed too late the love that was watching from beyond seven hills, in a place assigned between two continents of the world. Lunar snow melted feelings and chased away dark thoughts. They weren’t very visible in the moonlight anyway. A perfect day. I forgot about it. I’m still searching for the core of my moon.

Artist's/band's artistic biography
The Bytom Dance and Movement Theatre ROZBARK, established on October 28, 2013, is a cultural institution in Bytom, Poland, located in the historic pithead of the Rozbark Coal Mine, dating back to 1868 and listed as a heritage monument since 2007. Continuing the legacy of the Silesian Dance Theatre, ROZBARK has become a significant hub for contemporary dance in Poland, operating on three pillars: artistic production, education, and community engagement.
Artistic Profile and Mission
ROZBARK’s core mission is to create and promote contemporary dance, enriched by diverse movement forms such as mime, classical ballet, street dance, and theatrical elements. The theatre produces original performances and showcases notable contemporary dance works from Poland and abroad. Its artistic vision, shaped significantly by choreographer and current acting director Anna Piotrowska, emphasizes energy over pure dance form, exploring the human body in spaces of constant change—social, cultural, and dramaturgical. A key creative concept developed by Piotrowska is the “industrial body,” which embodies raw, heavy, expressive movement that transforms energy into motion. This concept evolves through dialogue between artists and audiences, fostering a shared creative space.
The theatre’s repertoire is diverse, catering to varied aesthetic preferences. Productions range from introspective, intellectual explorations of character to dynamic, physically demanding works. ROZBARK also engages in open-air performances to connect with Bytom’s residents and produces at least one show per season for young audiences, underscoring its commitment to early theatrical education.
Key Artistic Achievements
Since its inception, ROZBARK has presented performances in major Polish dance centers, including Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków, Lublin, Białystok, Gdańsk, and Poznań, as well as internationally in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Hungary, and Turkey.
