Description
Lament
Author and performance: Aurora Lubos
Music: Alex Catona, Michał Jacaszek
For over a year now, we have been watching the most documented genocide in history in the media. Suffering, death, images of human tragedies of Palestinian women and men in the Gaza Strip.
Lament became a place for grief over the home, place, disappearing landscapes, life. It's a performance without words becouse I can't find them. It become a single human being lamentation, left with a swirl of anger, powerlessness, helplessness on a small patch of sand.
“Life seems to be one eternal, never-ending day. A day filled with dangers and horror scenarios, which often involve the fact that they can blend into each other. Our new collective routine is to listen, to witness, to sit as we walk among death.”
Bahzad Al-Akhras, Gaza, Palestine 2024
