who cares

Description

The description presents a solo performance by Katarzyna Leszek, choreographed by Agnieszka Brzezińska, which explores themes of identity search within society and the influence of social media on the individual. In the performance "who cares," Kasia confronts the pressures of society, the constant pursuit of acceptance, and the perpetual need to be noticed. The expression in her dance, along with the questions she asks herself – "How should I look?" "Is Instagram really my business card?" – reflects an internal struggle with losing individuality. Her dance style, described as trance-like and chaotic, symbolizes confusion in a fast-paced world and the unending chase after societal expectations. The caricatural approach to herself and the world around her draws on the tradition of caricature as a form of social critique, which has always aimed to expose human weaknesses and problems in an exaggerated manner. The entire performance can be understood as a metaphor for the struggle against imposed norms, the breaking of psychological and physical boundaries, and an attempt to regain control over one's life and identity.
