Re | TURN (s)
Description
The dance performance Re | TURN(s) is an artistic attempt to capture a psychological phenomenon in which a victim forms an emotional bond with their oppressor—commonly known as Stockholm syndrome. The piece focuses primarily on human relationships subjected to extreme circumstances and trials. It explores how the human psyche can shift and adapt to a new reality, and how a person immersed in a certain dependency may develop a distorted perception of that relationship. The performance tackles a timeless and multi-layered theme, touching on moral, ethical, and social issues.
