Diptych: Movement Variations No. 1, Scoria
Description
Movement Variations No. 1 is an exploration of playing with form. It is an invitation to discover the relationship between movement and music, revealing the infinity of possible interpretations. Using the music of Jean-Philippe Rameau, three dancers take up the challenge of transforming the variation technique into a choreographic language. By maneuvering between lightness, nonchalance and precise craftsmanship, they introduce the audience to a non-obvious, positively distanced world.
Scoria: The show explores the topic of darkness as a space of acceptance, closeness and transformation. Human and non-human forms interpenetrate, showing darkness as a source of courage, strength and a new view of reality. It is a journey in which darkness ceases to be merely the absence of light, becoming a field of new discoveries and understanding. Scoria, as a remnant of volcanic eruptions, symbolizes the process of transformation. In creative, physical exploration, it was volcanic processes that inspired the discovery and exploration of relationships in the area of darkness.
