Q&A - the Polish Edition

Description

In 1997, psychologist Arthur Aron, published the article 'The Experimental Generation of Interpersonal Closeness'. In his research, Aron assembled 36 questions designed for dialogue between two strangers, the questions gradually becoming more and more personal. According to the study, openness to another person and placing ourselves in a position of vulnerability develops strong intimacy that will lead to immediate love. 5 dancers... 36 questions... A revealing of their personalities, lives and experiences in an intimate dance event. Would you like to be famous? When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else? What is your most terrible memory? The work Q&A by Rachel Erdos was originally created in 2017 in Tel Aviv, Israel. This Polish edition is made exclusively for and in collaboration with Living Space Theatre.

Artist's/band's artistic biography

Living Space Theatre was founded in April 2017 by graduates of the Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków, from both the Acting Department and the Dance Theatre Department. The company was established to organize artistic events and promote the art of dance theatre. Its members are actor-dancers actively working on the Polish theatre scene, recipients of numerous awards, distinctions, and cultural scholarships. They are engaged not only in artistic practice but also in pedagogical work. The core mission of Living Space Theatre is to support, promote, and produce a wide range of cultural activities focused on theatre, dance, music, and performance. LST carries out artistic and educational projects that promote positive values, contribute to the preservation of Polish cultural heritage, and respond to important social issues on both national and international levels. The group leads workshops and presents performances in collaboration with institutions in countries such as China, South Korea, the USA, Belgium, and Armenia. Their high artistic standard is evidenced by their invitation to the European Capital of Culture 2019 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, a nomination for the national “The Best OFF” competition, recognition by Teatr magazine, and participation in numerous festivals in Poland and abroad. Rachel Erdos, invited to collaborate, is a multi-award-winning, independent British-Israeli choreographer. Originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne, she has lived and worked in Tel Aviv since 2002. She holds a Master’s degree in choreography from The Laban Centre London.
